Water Pump Issues

My 2003 has been slowly weeping water from the weep hole on the water pump. Last night it started to overheat. I ended up adding 1.5 gallons of antifreeze after it had cooled down 10 minutes later.
Has anyone else lost their water pump?

First one I've heard of.

How many miles on your engine?

Ditto, first one I have heard of actually going bad.

Not expensive, simple swap. Remove air cleaner and belt, remove the pump bolts, change pump, reinstall bolts @ 100 in-lbs, reinstall belt and air cleaner, top off coolant with 50/50 mix of Mopar Orange 5-Year and Distilled Water.

12,000 miles. When the car was on a lift two weeks ago we noticed a little coolant on the undercarriage.

You should have a powertrain warranty on the 03 and I believe the water pump is covered.
