Just sitting at work this afternoon watching the rain wash all the winter crap off the roads and got to thinking that it's only the end of Jan, and it's going to be about another 2 1/2 months before we get our cars out of hibernation....I've had enough of this, and up here in the great white north we really haven't had much of winter the last 2 yrs. I think I'm more than ready to start living in the sunny south!!!
i feel your pain! i went as far as watching a video i took of my car just so i could hear it....i hate this rain crap-gets you excited to take the car out but still way too much salt on the roads.
Spent a week in the Palm Springs area and it is full of snow bird Canadians.....come on down and get warm and dry!! Cheers, George
Only rain???? It is a blizzard here today. Minus 30(-22 F) last night with a wind chill of minus 43. 4 inches of snow blowing into snow drifts and making travel nasty. Good night to stay in and enjoy this..
Yea I woke up this morning thinking somewhat the same thing. Woke up to go to the gym walk outside and ran back in to get a jacket. Could you believe it was 65 out this morning. My goodness luckily since there were no clouds out and the sun was shinin it was able to warm up a little.
Yup sick of it... a little reprieve tomorrow with a high of 8°C for a couple of days then dropping back to seasonal I figure April till my cars come out of hibernation. Come on Spring!
Snow Birding in Miami for my first year. Drove Viper around all day windows down and AC blowing. Can't go wrong with South Florida.
I have definitely had enough! I'm going through withdrawal pretty bad right now. Today was 64 but very wet. Tomorrow starts the lake effect snow again. Yay!
You should move to Ohio... it won't help you one bit but "misery loves company". Was this really called for Robi? Hitting below the belt aren't ya?
Took the cover off the car today just to take a peek. It's gonna be a long two months but we're getting there.
It was nice a week ago, so nice I was able to wash and wax the car to get rid of the salt... Then it snows. Not heavy, looked like powdered sugar. Third pic is what the car looked like the next morning, COMPLETELY SALTED. Oh and it rained yesterday. Car looks just great. :| --RS
Glad I'm not the only one!! Mine's been parked since October, and the snow outside the window in the garage is higher than the car. It's definitely going to be a couple more months before it sees the sunshine again. The only thing keeping me sane is that the new coilovers aren't expected for a few more weeks anyway.
I can't take it anymore either. I bought my 2008 Coupe in the late fall of last year so I didn't get much drive time. My wife watched me flip through the pictures of my Viper about 3 times yesterday on the couch. Even worse I have been making mods to it over the winter and just to want drive it to enjoy them and hear the new exhaust!
Come out to Cali I know I know, that was a dick move. I dunno what I would do if I had to store my viper away. That's rough
Ouch...Even for the hottest days of summer around here those numbers look hot. I find there is one upside to parking them for so long... When I actually do get to drive it again, it's as exciting as the first time was. I hate to admit it but my daily driver is a Veloster (bought it for mpgs for the hour commute to work every day) It's quite refreshing to get into the Viper, the Hyundai's not the most exciting thing to drive. And the mileage stays low...
How do you survive such harsh conditions? A jacket, and 65 deg in the morning !!! I would have stayed in bed !!!
I love Florida--no income tax, no emissions, and no winter--what's not to love? Except hurricane season--Dave
This!! My daily driver is a Sonata. I think it's hysterical. "Refreshing" is an understatement!! Hitting that red start button changes everything.
