Guys,
305/35/18 : I know the tire will fit the rim but, I wondered if thay will rub anywhere as they are a bit taller/wider... Has anone here run this size up front on a gen 2 w/o issue?

I'm running a 295/30/19 (26" OD) on the front, 11" wide wheel, on my stock sprung '01 GTS. There are no rub issues except very slight when closing the hood. Not enough to need to do anything but be aware of it.

The tire you are considering will be 7/32" or so larger radius, or even closer to the hood and other places.

Are you lowered at all?

I can take some pics of mine tonight with the wheels cut to show turning clearances if you want.

Dave that would be great, can you also send me the specs for your wheels as i will need to calculate the relative wheel / tire position on the 10" wheel to see if the 11" wheel helps or hurts the fitment...

You can send the pics to this screen name at aol

I run a 295/35/18 on my 18X11 rim up front. Im lowered with Eibachs. No rubbing issues while driving, but to open/close my hood the tires have to be turned all the way to the right.

Yes, the 305 x 35 x 18 Toyos will fit on the front of a GTS. I have run them. They are really too tall to run on the front of the car and will screw up the alignment and ride height unless you have adjustable shocks.

Some of these gaps I can't get my fingers in...

Once again tires are 295/30/19 PS2 on 19 x 11 iForged Classic wheel. I assume the backspacing is the same as the factory wheel and the extra inch is all toward the outside. I'm assuming this...

Shocks/springs are factory Gen 2 on my 2001 GTS.

Hi Dave6666,

Have you lowered your car? Can you post a pic of the complete car. I'm running the same 295X19 with 30 profile. The front of the car looks ok, but the rear has a huge gap so i was thinking about lowering it with the Eibach's. But i'm afraid the front will cause some issues.

Thanks in advance for any feedback you can provide

The car has not been lowered and is running on OE springs/shocks.

On the back I have 20's which are 2" taller than the OE tire size. Same effect as lowering 1".

Pics? I've never posted pics here.
