Wheel Choice- Help with final Decision!

I talked to the Savini rep at SEMA, mos tof their wheels seemed a bit too blingy for me but I was a bit overwhelmed by all the wheels at sema so would love to see pics on a viper

I'd only want one of their wheels with the carbon fiber lip treatment , no window or stripe paint on it.

P40's brushed and cleared (or anodized). I have brushed and anodized CCW's on my GTS and love the look. P40's were my second choice, but I like them better on SRT's.
I have brushed & anodized CCW Classics on my GTS.

IMO, CCW are the ONLY wheel for the Viper.

Not trying to steal 04v10's thunder here...but these are the pics he posted in the other SRT thread. They are fully chromed ADV.1s.

Both of your wheel choices are very different from each other. I think with the P40s, everyone will know right off the bat that they are aftermarket (I mean that in a postive way) The ADV.1s, in that style, look alot like OE wheels, and may be mistaken as such.

From a practicality standpoint, the P40s will be tougher to clean for sure, and the SRT brakes dust terribly, so you'll constantly be dealing with that. On my 360 Forged wheels, which are styled simliarly to the ADV.1s, I'm able to reach into the barell of the wheel through the spokes and keep that area spotless too, without removing the wheels. Just food for thought...

Member "NineBall", who is the HRE dealer for the forum, photoshopped a set of P40s on my black vert. Here they are in the brushed finish.

The first Viper looks great but the 20" in the front looks goofy (I think it's a 20"). The second viper looks incredible!!! Very classy!!

HRE no comparison they are built great and look amazing. Plus the guys at the company are great to deal.

HRE unveiled a newer version of the P40 at SEMA, maybe you saw it? It is about 2 lbs lighter per wheel than the P40 we all love. Has finer machining tolerances in the spoke area, weight pockets cut out on the sides of the spokes, etc... These are $100 more per wheel than the current P40. Model is called the P40-S wheel.

just to complicate things, had a second look at Absoluthanks original wheels, Would look great with a 20 on the back, I believe this setup was 19F 19R. CCWs are a bit cheaper too, hows the quality compared to HRE?

Haha...yeah, they were awesome wheels for sure. They definitely needed to be 20s out back, and I had thought about it quite a bit before getting the 360 Forged wheels. But between polishing black paint and polishing wheels, one had to go! Here was my favorite pic of those wheels...

Definitely the P40's, but I think you should go with a little different of a finish on the wheels. Instead of brushed or silver, how about a graphite color? Cant remember what HRE calls it.

Those do look good, my only worry is that sometimes charcoal and all black wheels tend to blend or look dirty on a black car. Def appreciating all the different opinions and ideas though. Quality on the CCW's was good absolut?

Yup, I had three sets of them...one of my Viper, and two on my Vette's. But, they are just straight cut wheels...no fancy beveling, radius in the spokes etc...they look just like they do in pictures.

With some of the more expensive brands, you can really see all the extra detailed machine work that goes into them, that is hard to capture in pictures from 10 feet away. With all that being said, if I wanted to stay away from the expensive high end wheels, CCW would be my only choice

I have seen those and the five spoke as well. I was under the impression that there were more styles that were going to be released. Who knows. Their website hasn't been updated in years.:rolaugh:

I havent seen their customer car page be updated in a looong time. Asleep at the wheel? lol...

They do look good, but the question is, what car will that fit? I havent seen a CONCAVE wheel from ANY of the companies actually look concave on the Viper. They're all coming out flat in the rear.

True, but as I understand, these are a different forging from those like 360 or ADV. While those look to be a Murci fitment, I think the Gen 2 cars would get close to that. I would check with Vincent on it, but to me it looks like a standard lipped wheel, with the concavity being forged back out to the outer barrel versus others who are trying to forge or machine a bend in the spokes. These look straighter, if that makes any sense at all.
