    clutch master cylinder and slave

when i mounted the MC, i made sure to get the full travel of the rod on the clutch pedal swing. i dont recall the measurements, but i know for sure that the rod is traveling to the end. thanks for all your help, im going to have to get in there somehow i guess.

    clutch master cylinder and slave

tom, what you are saying is correct. the TO bearing has a spring to push it into the pressure plate to basically pick up the slack. could this problem be a faulty master cylinder? maybe all i need is a new unit?

    clutch master cylinder and slave

i cant see into the bellhousing because i have no inspection cover. i had to machine a solid aluminum adapter for the trans to mate to the 440. its 1.5" thick because the input shaft of the trans was very long. my problem is that if i pause in nuetral for too long, the internals will start...

    clutch master cylinder and slave

ive posted here a couple times before, but not for a while. ive got a 69 charger with a 440 that i made an adapter to put a t56 behind it. im using a weber 12" alum flywheel and clutch setup, and the viper slave/TO to disengage the clutch. im also using the factory master cylinder to feed the...

    clutch pedal drop

i kept away from centerforce for that very reason. i have heard of many problems about cars not being able to get out of gear, because the clutch is fighting back and clamping too hard. i thought about the stroke thing too. but its wierd because pumping it doesnt help. i have to let it sit...

    clutch pedal drop

yes. i purchased both the master cylinder and slave cylinder directly from the dodge dealer. i am using the factory viper trans in its original configuration. the only thing different in my setup, is that i am using a weber clutch setup for a 440, with a 12" clutch.

    clutch pedal drop

as you can see in my signiture, i have a 69 charger that i put a t-56 behind a 440. i am having some problems with the cltuch pedal though. its fine until i tach the engine up with a good amount of gas pedal. once i do that, the clutch pedal goes to almost nothing, and makes it very difficult...

    Throw-out bearing

sorry, i meant slave cylinder. its one unit so i have called it the throwout bearing. i know its not the master cylinder, but it could be the fitting. im gonna put it in the air tonight, to check it out better. while im not on a viper budget, i am on an old mopar budget (almost as high )...

    Throw-out bearing

im gonna look under there hopefully tonight, to see if there is fluid in the bellhousing, or reminance of fluid. ive got a price quote of about $200 for the Slave/TO bearing unit from my local dealer, is this a good price? is there a better place to get it from?

    6th gear problem

unless you have different gears, you are close to idling at that speed. if you need to accelerate, put it in 4th or even 5th.

    Throw-out bearing

Hey guys, im new to the board, but not to cars. ive got a '69 charger (see signiture), that i put a t-56 in. im having some problems with the clutch. ive been thinking i had air in the line, but now the resevior is dry. that has happened twice now, but the first time i didnt think anything...
