Well, next Saturday I have to make a large sacrifice and sell my 1994 Viper. Too many new bills and too many small children to have enough fun anyway. Got a fairly decent price for her (about 1k less than what I paid almost 2 years ago.) Strange thing is that this is going to Estonia.
I can...
Good ideas. Because it is so hot in Florida, I have been thinking of putting a lower temp thermostat. I will have to do a search about a 998/999 recall to see if that applies. As for Mike at Ulms Dodge, he is the one who changed my fluids out, hmmmmm. I think I'll call Larry.
The drive belt is a great idea. I changed all fluids and tires about 6k ago. When does the clutch usually need work on the gen I's. Anybody have any positives or negatives about Macedo's shop/ Should I just get this done with my Viper tech at my local Dodge dealer?
I have a 94RT with 25k miles. Never had the new head gaskets. No problems so far but I do not want to wait for them. Was thinking about having the gaskets changed, maybe by Macedo in Orlando. What other things would you have done at the same time. I am looking for reasonably affordable...
That is because humidity and termites here rot wood in no time. Cinderblock and stucco is also more energy efficient in this environment. But I agree - I do miss the homes of New England.
Re: Ya can\'t even sell something in the VCA classifieds without a SCAM
I think you are on to something. It might be quite a deterrent if they were lead on every time they tried to scam a VCA member. They would deem it too much work for the one person who might be suckered if they had to mail...
Dave,
I have been to Jerry Ulm a few times over the last year with my 94RT. I have not had major work done, just changing all the fluids, tune-up, adjusting throttle bodies, etc. They charge like a dealer (I was able to get them to come down significantly on tires when I showed them prices...
Bleeding heart liberal? Have no doubt, I would have been enraged and thrown every bit of my 6'4" 235lbs on anyone I caught in the act. It is difficult to take oneself back, however, and realize that in the end they lost something more valuable. They still deserve yo be punished.
I know how you feel. I have 2 key attacks. a 2 incher on the drivers door and a 4 incher on the front hood. i have touched up both myself becasue I just can't justify a couple grand to repaint the entire hood and door. But it does make me wince a bit when I see them up close. Mostly, I feel...

Lots of sun on my dash, and not a crack near those areas (you got me paranoid so I ran out and checked). Sorry to hear it. If it happened to me here in Tampa, I would go to Gene Perez and see what fix he recommended.
