Had the same problem on my Gen 3. The battery is in the trunk. I noticed that the battery posts were touching the cover and that over time because of vibration the paint on the cover scraped off so that the positive terminal was shorting on the cover. I glued some vinyl on the underside of the...
I found the problem, the battery cover was touching the positive terminal. There is a rubber cover for the positive terminal but it keeps slipping off. On the bottom of the cover I could see where the positive terminal had actually worn the paint off the cover, so I glued a piece of rubber to...
I have a 2003 and found the battery cover was touching the positive terminal when it was screwed on. I glued some rubber on the bottom of the cover and put a terminal cover on the positive terminal and that has helped a lot but still find it drains pretty quickly when parked. Also in the manual...
I have had a battery drain problem with my viper (2003) for a few years now. I recently brought the car to Chrysler and they tested the cars electrical system and said they could find no excessive drain problem, but repleced the battery. When I got the car home I decided to check and make sure...
Always have used Zymol , have used different ones all $50 - $100. and have had excellent results. Once bought the "cheap" zymol $15. in a bottle, it was not good. I always use a damp applicator. I think I read on one Zymol product that they recomend spray wetting the car after waxing it to help...
My 2003 also drains after about 2 weeks sitting unused, I use a trickle charger but would sure like to get it fixed. I recently bought a brand new a battery but it made no difference.

I have been using Zymol (the more expensive mid line paste not liquid in a bottle) for years and I do find a little water on the apllicator helps especially if it is quite warm when waxing. In fact I believe zymol recomends wetting the car and then drying it with an absorbant wipe\towel after...
I tried 2 sided carpet tape to hold it down but it was too thin and didn't work. I then used a small strip of 3M 2 sided "exterior mounting tape" and it worked beautifully. Its a little thicker and stickier than the carpet tape and doesn't appear to damage the materials it sticks to.
I don't know where to get new ones but mine came loose on both doors, at first I tried 2 sided carpet tape to hold it down but it was too thin and didn't work. I then used a small strip of 3M 2 sided "exterior mounting tape" and it worked beautifully. Its a little thicker and stickier than the...
On my 2003 viper the inside door trim at the base of each window is coming loose, they are flat strips that cover the gap betwen the panel and door, any idea how to re-attach them?
