Check out my Viper in the classifieds and on www.b2bworld.com... It is a great deal for this car and have been generating calls as I lowered the price to move it (need for business, otherwise wouldn't sell).
I just recently topped it off by adding addition clear-shield to the doors which...

Fred,
Well said. While I will mainly look at my driving skills and awareness, would it make sense that lighter rims with say Michelin PS2's might have inreased my awareness of the road which might have signaled me sooner to adjust throttle?
I was told that a lighter rim and better tire...
Hey, I am finally going to take the plunge and upgrade rims/tires.
First the tire: After researching options I most likely will go with the Michelin PS2's since I am street only.
As for rims, I am looking at rims that save on weight. Currently looking at
SSR Type C-RS... Here's my main...
One more piece of info I may have forgot to mention:
Car has stock run-flats and tire pressure was 21/20 on rear
and 20/20 on front.
Would this tire pressure have added to my problems?
Mark
John,
That is probably the best advise as others have said. I am just considering other options to see if there is anything out there that might have given me a better chance to have avoided the spin out (other then more careful driving).
Better tires and lighter rims might have helped or...
I guess we all have our opinions on why the car was designed (weight ratios...) the way it was but the bottom line is respect. One definetly has to respect the power this beast has and harness it rather than let it take you for a ride...
I have been doing research and here is what I have come...
I agree with driving school... The training I already have had got me out of the bind I was in... Now I need to work on not getting in the bind in the first place (I do think the road condition must have of had a lot to do with it as well).
Thanks for the info on the sport cups as it does...
I generally do not heat the tires up. Like I said, I can lose it just coming aroung a corner on my own street... I am just hoping that a much stickier tire and lighter rim will resolve the problem. Maybe not?
My buddies 04 Cobra with the stickiest Toyo's don't have the same problem. I...
I guess the roads are a big part of the problem out here BUT...
I can easily fishtail the car while driving at less than 10-15mph in my own community when leaving my house and turning a corner at such a slow speed... I realize that the torque comes into play at low rpm's but come-on now, this...
Yes, it was on the 15... I was getting on at Flamingo going South towards Russell but it happened just as I transitioned onto the 15 from Flamingo onramp...
Spoke to John at Partsrack and considering the following:
345x30x18 Rear
285x30x18 Front
All with Michelin Pilot Sport Cups
Rims...
Hard to say what was on the road surface but I think I got on it to some extent... It's just that if I had really soft and sticky tires that might have made the difference...
Entererd on-ramp on local freeway and must have given too much gas and ended up doing a complete 360 in traffic and was able to maintain enough to continue driving all in one motion... It was the most out-of-control feeling I have ever had in any sports car I have ever driven... Have taking...
Dan,
I was thinking of getting the Paxton and Tune later this year but have heard that the car would have to be re-tuned for Las Vegas (I live at 3200ft in West Vegas)... also, how much RWP our you getting from these cars after stock upgrade?
Thanks,
Mark
I cannot dispute these comments as we all know that the SRT-10 brakes have received very good reviews. I just thought I would mention it since the company made the statement. I was really only looking for improved brakes for my Countach when I was told this...
FYI...
Just recently had them installed. While they look good they basically reverse the effects of wrapping insulation around the side exhaust since they are very good conductors of heat... In other words, OUCH!
My two cents.

I have their response to each part of the braking system... Rotors, Calipers, pads, brackets...
Here is the portion regarding rotors:
Most of the manufactures use friction ring with "normal" ventilation system, 56-60 mm friction ring height, drilled holes (5-6 mm). The rotors again is suitable...
