Yep, done that 2.5 mile road course many times - fastest speed is on the back straight, coming out of turn 1. With stock gearing, top of 4th is the fastest I could ever get (about 161). Recently changed to 3.55 gears with the hope of getting into fifth and still having some power left before...
Thanks Jon, that's exactly the info I read before posting. I know the "Z" means nothing anymore. If you read all the way down, however, the parentheses do mean something - with parentheses (the old "Z"), they are rated at a higher speed ("in excess of 186 mph").
But, if they can't be had, then...
Agreed the difference is slight and I'll never be able to tell the difference, but has the "R"/"MO" tire been sitting on a shelf longer? I certainly did not get what I paid for...
Thanks Jim, you've confirmed what I've got...
My previous ones - 275/35ZR-18 (95Y) do have a "C1" after that and nothing after "Pilot Sport" ("PS2" is in small print under the "t" of "Sport"). My "new" tires "275/35R-18 95Y" (no parentheses), like yours, have "MO" after "Pilot Sport" (along...
Kind of feels like I paid for a Rolex and got a "Rolax", but I ordered them via the same vendor I got the last set - he's real close to your northern location (not his fault, as the invoice was for ZR's and they were shipped from an eastern warehouse).
Just got another set of front PS2's. Unlike my previous ones, which indicate 275/35ZR18 on them, these say 275/35R18 (and the stickers on them also say "R")...
I realize the real speed rating is the "Y" in the "95Y" following the size info, however on the "ZR" tires, the 95Y is in parentheses...
With the Roe SCT Tune, I gained 21 RWHP and 47 RWTQ (same Dyno, same day, one run right after the other).

Yea, light weight. Didn't really expect more power, but less rotational mass is always a good thing. No problems whatsoever - I'd have to go back and check what it cost...

This is not new (not just a Gen IV issue). I posted the same thing (with video) in March 08:

I installed an Autoform rollbar as well (fairly easy to do) - it comes with an entire replacement "plastic seat frame" (bulk head cover). It has no impact on rear-view.
I also have the Autoform hard top - one thing to note is that you will not be able to fit any high density padding on the...
Someone care to explain how the "rain" guard/deflector/baffle does anything to eliminate "the chance of water from getting into the engine"? It not like it has a moisture detector and closes when water is present.

With just a few bolt-ons I did myself, I've got 509 RWHP and 522 RW Torque. Unfortunately, I never dyno'd my car before mods, but assuming a drive train loss of 12.5% (lower than what many say the loss is), that's about 70HP over the stock 510 "crank" HP.
The SCT tune itself added 21 HP and 47...
Tom,
Thanks for the info, good stuff, but I gotta agree with Rocket, I don't recall my oil temp hitting 212 - I'll watch it a little closer during my next track day later this month.
Honestly, do you think there is much difference between the stock 180 T-stat and a 170 T-stat in regards to...
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the OEM cats and Corsa track are 2.5" so if you go with a larger diameter hi-flow cat, you'll have to so something with the Corsa...

I have the seat lowering kit, Autoform Rollbar and Autoform hardtop. If anyone with an SRT 'Vert wants to go but doesn't have a real rollbar or top, they could borrow my hardtop (simple 1 minute attachment - no "mods" needed).
I haven't done the broomstick test. If I don't make it, I'll need...
