I'd be all about them if I hadn't just bought the blower...AND if it wouldn't make my car look exactly like my old one. I will admit that lip is badass...when I had the 6" lip on my bee I'd get all sorts of looks at car shows.
No issues here. Will has always answered my calls and texts promptly. He's always been helpful, even when I wasn't necessarily buying anything from him...just calling with questions. When I have ordered parts they went out promptly, including my Roe I picked up last week.
Pirellis and Nittos have a lower profile. The Michelins are a 335/30/20 I believe, while the other 2 are 345/25/20. I personally don't like the look of the Michelins and never had any performance issues with my Nittos. I ran Nittos on a 20" tire on 2 cars and Michelins on another car with a 20"...
After putting mine back together I debated on whether or not I should have powdercoated the JMB box and tubes blue too. I tried to block it out because it'd be entirely too much work to have that stuff redone, but you've gone and made me think about it again. Jerk :D
Looks great!
I had 19/20 HREs on my old car.
I'm going to do CCW SP600s when I get around to it. I've seen a ton of the split 5-spokes done on the color combo...I want to do something different.
This is my experience. Nobody (except Gen. I guys) prefer the later OE wheels over what they have, so they're hard to get rid of. Gen. III/IV guys sure aren't going to buy them. Same thing happens with aftermarket wheels too, but there is a bigger market and you can net more since they're an...
He's a VCA member and a member on the Alley. I don't think he gets on either much. He bought the car right at a year ago from a guy that had a hard time offloading it because of the custom color. It's a little overdone IMO (the wheels, exhaust tips, plastic behind the windows are all sprayed)...
I finally got everything buttoned up (for the most part). Corsa 3" catback, no cats, B&B headers.

Car also has heads and a cam, and I just added a JMB box and 70mm Accufabs. Not that the latter will affect the sound of the exhaust, but I'm still...
I want to also thank Mary, Marv and Ben Keating for assisting me in my pestering of the people that made this happen :D
If I get a little free time later I'll re-post some of the pics here. I'd heard this randomly but hadn't completely grasped it but that was the prototype's first trip on...
Interior is upgraded on the 1999 (better/brushed door handles, brushed e-brake handle, interior trunk release, textured dash), and they don't have foglight covers. Different color availability. Both have forged internals. I believe they both have the lumpy 708 cam and neither have ABS.
The clutch/slave is already installed and all you need is to bleed it? If you have 2 people, 5 minutes. Longer if it's 1, but I haven't done it with 1 person.
I noticed on both that link and the one from the Viper Registry, all of the information for the 1999 GTSs is missing. I want to say they made 21 silver/blue in 1998 and 22 in 1999, but I can't find that information anywhere any more. Anyone know the total number, specifically the 1999s?
And to...
For reference:
- a 345/25-20 setup has a OD of 26.8"
- a 345/30-20 setup has a OD of 28"
- a 345/30-19 setup has a OD of 27.15"
That said, these pics of my silver/blue lowered on 3/4" spring caps will show you within .35" what your clearance will look like in the rear (if you're running caps...
Bump, cuz this thread is awesome.
My 2000 GTS, lowered on Eibachs, sitting on iForged Aeros 19/20 and Michelins, along with my 1999 GTS, lowered on Parts Rack 3/4" spring caps, sitting on SRT Sidewinders 18/19 and Invos:
I didn't see the ad. For those of you that don't know, it's Marty B's old car. Eddie and I had the privilege of driving back from Chicago together when I picked up my Roe GTS...that thing is a BEAST. I don't know of a badder Gen. I out there.
GLWS!
