Can they be fixed?does someone here have a spare for sale?mine are the dynamic suspension ones.thanks, dennis
Hi,
I talked to Alan O'Leary at Carl Haas Automobile Imports, 500 Tower Parkway, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 yesterday about rebuilding my Dynamics. He mentioned that these were originally designed not to be rebuilt but that he can modify and then rebuild them at about $300-350 each. He was referred directly from the Dynamic Suspensions website.
I had a little leak at first and had no problems until sometime later. For me, the sign that I had to get the rears rebuilt was that I got a metallic "knock" out of the rear suspension when I went over something as minor as a manhole cover. I believe that was the upper seal so worn that it allowed the shock's piston shaft to move back and forth just a small amount, resulting in the knocking noise. JonB also recommended the 800lb springs to me, and I found them to be a definite improvement with no apparent downside.a little leak is not unusual.

How many miles on your car when the shock went bad?
