Just doing a sanity check. I've searched the forum and have found some differing info. Want to be sure. Thanks.

Yes, but if it were me, I would put in 9, run the car, then check the oil to be sure.

The 1996-1999 Gen II cars had a capacity of 8.5, but I believe 1992-1996 RTs had 10, along with the 2000-2002 cars.

Thanks for the replies/advice. I went ahead and put in 9 and ran it for a bit. Will let it sit for a while and then check the level.

Thanks again.

It's 10 - 10.5 quarts on a GEN1. Every oil change has been about 10.5 quarts on my 94'. It's 10 quarts initially and up to 10.5 quarts once you turn over the system and let the filter and plumbing get filled.

8.5 is the GEN2 capacity.

Ditto on this.
I buy 11 quarts and use almost all of it on '94.

The Gen 2 went to ten qts eventually, I believe it was in 2000.
