Viper Owner
Hello,
I have a beyond stock 96 RT/10 Serpent 655
http://www.eaglecars.com/dodge-viper/tnt-serpent-655-1996-2002.html
When I bought the car it had the stock rc12lyc champion spark plugs (extremely weird considering everything done to it) I believe they were using the stock plugs due to the reach. I put in the hotter plug version rc12ecc (essentially the same thing but double copper?) and was wondering if I went the wrong route? It seems to get to operating temperature much faster. Is there another plug I should consider? Should I get it retuned? Or because of the greater compression over stock should I actually be leaning towards a colder plug? Displacement is 8.4L vs the stock 8.0L. Any help would be greatly appreciated, TNT Motorsports has been out of business since the late 90's due to a lawsuit against them from team Hennessy.
Thank you, Travis
