I have a 1996 Viper R/T 10. It has developed a bad place in the hood right where the GTS hood scoop
would go. I bought a hood scoop an was going to cut out the scoop pattern on the inside of the hood
where the GTS scoops goes, however the hood does not have the recess in it to allow the scoop to fit flush.
I don't think I would mind if the scoop does not fit flush, however I was just wondering if #1 if this can
be done and #2 if anyone has ever tried it? How hard was to do and how did it look? The scoop would do
two things for the car, it would get rid of the bad place in the hood and give it a better look.

This sounds like a pain. I would suggest taking the part to a very experienced body shop. Odds are you are going to have to paint most or all of the hood. I think for your application if you insist on the scoop would be to mount it and flush it into the hood and respray. There are a few guys (myself included) that molded out the body lines of the hood scoop so it flows better.

So it can be done.
