Re: 2\" Seat Lowering Kit for sale

Sorry to jump in your thread Ted, but I'd just like to put in my $.02 about this kit because I just put two of them in my car.

They are great. I'm 5'10 with a 31" inseam and it works perfect for me. I have the pedals almost all the way up to me (within about an inch of their closest position). I actually had to push the pedals further away than when I had the stock seat brackets in the car. I think that's because your legs actually end up straighter as opposed to being bent. The visibility out of the car is better and I feel like I'm sitting in the car as opposed to on the car.

I highly recommend them.

Well you talked me into it, I guess I will take them.
Let me know how you would like to conduct the transaction.
PayPal is fine by me.
Thanx,
Mike

Big Movement,

They'll also cut the weight of each seat by something like 20 lbs. Search here for exact figures. Take your time and follow the directions and look at the pictures when you are installing them. You'll need a long extension (the longer the better with a swivel on it to get to the back bolts. Get all of the bolts started before you crank any of them down.

Mike:

Just to be sure we are on the same page, I am only selling the driver's side kit which sells new for $200 at Northwind. Lowers the seat 2", and you loose the fore & aft seat adjusting function. The fixed position is almost all the way back. The driver's side conversion saves 11 pounds, I weighed it against the stock mechanism when I first did the install.

Oh I read it too fast and figured it was for both sides at that price.
I guess only the 1" lowering kits will allow the seat to move forwards and backwards. I will have to hunt down a pair of the 1" ones then.
Thanx for putting me first in line, but I will have to pass.

BM- Go with the 2" The pedals move, you don't need to move the seat.

That's true!
I might have missed the boat on them already though.
He PM'd me and told me that he had 5 other people interested in buying them.
