If it had been yellow, it would have gone for $20K more.

Just another red one. *yawn*

Does that price include a 10% commission/premium/whatever on top of the actual price of the car?

So, I'd even say that $40K for a car with so few miles is actually low.

Perhaps my question should be turned into a separate thread.

What exactly do you consider to be low mileage for a Viper that is around 15 years old?

Clearly mileage in the neighborhood of 24,000 miles (1,600 mi per year) could also be considered low mileage, however I am willing to bet others would disagree.
Clearly 5,000 mi is very low. Basically, it is to bad we really don't know how many cars are out there with low miles.

My 2001 RT/10 has about 10,800 miles on it. I bought it from the original owner with 9,000 miles on it almost 2 years ago. He said his only regret was not driving it more.

Something I need to pay attention to.

10-yr old car at 50% depreciation is not too bad, when it comes to cars. That's why you should buy 'em for enjoyment or for a REALLY LONG time in order to have a chance of ever making $ or not losing significantly from new. The less Vipers there are, the more $ they will be worth later.

Some car clubs insist you put like 1,000 miles a year on a car to be a member.
Keeps em from seizing up.

The link made my eyes tear up...ouch!!

A club that insisted on a mileage minumum would not have me as a member for long!!

Hard to believe, but our cars are getting old. Like most things, they get worth less. Hard to believe some of our cars are 20 years old!:omg:

Agree its a dang shame when you see how low the price is on some of the clean cars though.

Unlike most vehicles, Vipers don't tend to see as much mileage as most sports cars. As this is the case there are more low mileage cars that pop up. From what I have seen, Most seem to see 10,000 as that magic number between low and mid mileage.
