52-55K...Agreed. Does it have a hard top? Soft top? These are not cheap items and could be important to you.

So far the best deal I've seen was from Woodhouse on a one owner Grey with 2500 miles for 57,000. A 2001 yellow with a 1000 miles is 59,900 from Roanoke. Where do you find a 52,000 dollar one ?? Ebay they seem to have some from Nexus leasing for 52,000 on a 2001 with 8,000 miles but it had seven different owners. Yes both tops included.

Keep talking to private owners. That's not to say that you won't get a good buy from a dealer, but there is a higher probability that you will from a private owner.

Depends on location too. Like a Viper may be worth more in Los Angeles than say Anchorage, Alaska.

I got a better deal on my car by buying it in New Jersey in the winter. Not much demand for convertibles when there is snow/ice on the ground....

I would say $56k-$59k....Guys I dont know where you are looking, but the car he describes. Can not be had for under $56k. And even at $56k would be a good deal. I spent 6mo. looking for mine, I know the market pretty well. If you find one on Ebay. BE CAREFUL !!!!!!!!!

With both tops included Woodhouse is right in there.

Get the Woodhouse car. They are usually fairly priced, stand behind their cars and deliver.

If Bill P. says it is nice and you like the color you can bank on it being better than expected. That is where I got my '01 last year.

I would check out those paint chips, that can cost some big money if it requires a fascia repaint and not just a fill in of the chips.

My 2 cents...don't try to save a few thousand dollars on a car with questionable history (i.e. 7 owners!). With my 2001 RT10, I found a pretty good deal (not necesarily a steal) on a local car with NO questions about its history.

Either find a good private car, or go with a reputable dealer.

Didn't all the 01 and 02's come with factory hardtops? I believe they did vs. being an option on earlier cars.

My .02:

1. Verifiable history is worth a lot. Purchase through a very reputable dealer or buy from the original owner. Talk with either extensively.

2. You will definitely pay a premium for low miles. If you plan on keeping the miles low, it will be worth it to you to pay for such a car. If on the other hand you plan on driving it quite a bit or doing extensive mods, you may be better off to save a few bucks a buy something with higher miles but still taken care of.

In 02 hard top was included, in 01 hard top was an option. The 56-57,000 seems to be a realistic number more towards the lower side, for a one owner. A 2001 private red with 1500 miles was 57,000. I bought the 2002 red with 1933 for 56,800 out of Tennesse, with the factory warranty. Odd thing is I was able to get better deals on a GTS then the RT/10. But the wife said I had a choice RT/10 or RT/10. Thanks for all the help. Dave

Coming from someone who sepnt 6mo. looking EVERYWERE for "the right car". So, I know whats out there and for how much. I think you did VERY well.....

Funny about your GTS comment. When I was looking for mine (of course I was looking for a GTS). The RT/10's were great deals. Go figure.. Good luck with it..

I just bought an 01 with 5477 miles From a reputable Ferrari dealer in cali for $51K...The car is virtually scratchless with a 3 years left on the extended warrantee. They wanted $56K, they came down with a cash deal over time.
