Got a call from an out-of-state Dodge dealer today looking to sell an incoming red SRT-10. When I asked the price they were looking for, he said, "$101,000." That is in US dollars by the way. ;) I told him that the car would be a good attraction on the showroom floor and he should expect to see it there for a while. Wild stuff indeed.

Now if anybody wants to buy my SRT-10, I'll discount it almost $20K off that price... :D

Well, by the time you drive it back from South Carolina, it will probably have burned off that first tank of gas - or two...

What Dodge dealer is this, I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC. Me and my roommate can go check it out and see what's so special about this SRT that makes it a $100k incoming Viper. ;)

GAWWWWWWWWWD! The ones on ebay are only going for lower 80s, right?

That dealer must think the economy is booming.

Dealers have been calling me offering 84K for my buddy's SRT-10. I'm guessing they're hoping to sell for over 90K if they're offering that figure.

BTW, bottom line is 87K. Hey, what's an extra three grand when you're spending over 80K? :smirk:

for whatever it is worth a local Lexus dealer near my house has a silver one on sale for $97,900.00 on the same lot there is a 360 spyder for $269,000. I guess it is a good thing that the SRT gets a higher premium that the ferrari???

Same dealer called me - have been out of town at Viper Days. It is Hendrick Dodge in Charleston, SC. I'll have to call him back and tell him I refuse to refer anyone to a dealer that charges over sticker.....

There is no sense in paying premiums on this car anymore. They are available at sticker or below now both a dealers and eBay. If you are uncomfortable about getting a car through eBay go through a dealer from eBay. The SRT-10's are selling at great prices now. Great chance to take advantage of the low prices.

As for the Ferrari 360 Spider the sticker is $175K plus options. Those cars have outrageous premiums now. The average going rate is arouind $200,000 - $225,000 on eBay through dealers and at the dealerships around $225,000 - $300,000. Crazy isn't it?

I knew of a guy here in town that paid $320,000 for a brand new 2001 360 Modena....6spd...nothing special.

Hell, for that price, he could have bought an F40. All I could think was....SHAFTED!!
