The ONLY reason it went that high was because it belonged to the president of Barrett-Jackson. I would not say that sale is any type of market indicator.

Exactly, a average 2003 will not trade that high here, ebay, or in any magazine. Way too high, especially when 05's can be had for high 60's LOW 70's. Depending on condition and mileage a 2003 will run HIGH 50's LOW LOW 60's.

That price means nothing in the real world. And don't forget the commission. Also exactly what does "Fully optioned" and "fully equipped" mean on that car?? Auction hype!!

Dang we aren't asking enough for ours. Figure since ours was previously owned by a past Regional VCA President it should top 70K, right?!

Seriously, that is some major bucks for an 03 , even if we do sell them. Have to agree that someone paid a pretty penny to get something Craig owned and now.....................add the 8% commission , whew..........that is one spicy meatball !!!

The car sold for $63,000 + 8% commission ($5,040) = $68,040

Maybe the bidder forgot about the 8% buyers premium (ouch!), or maybe the person just knew the 1st production year, GenIIIs, are worth more. :)
