This coming July 19 to 22 at Heartland Park, the SRT National Event is getting expanded to include all SRT vehicles. During these days they will have a track day, autocross, drag racing and a bunch of other activities.

There will be a whole bunch of guys from DCX, including Ralph Gilles. I know we will be bringing our NayKid Racing SRTC T1 Cars out to play . Bob Woodhouse is also bringing out his World Challenge Viper toys as well for this weekend. There are a few other World Challenge Teams as well planning on coming out too.

Check out these links:

SRT Nationals webpage

Thought it would be cool to get the word out there to other Viper owners and get some cool cars at this event. :2tu:

Sounds like a good summer road trip to me. :nana: Check it out. What do you think?

Heartland Park is located in Topeka Kansas. This track is doing a lot of great work to it partly due in fact he 2006 Runoffs are being held there this year. Mid-Ohio is a tough place to follow!

This might help:
www.hpt.com

The SRT Nationals website has a lot of info about everything. www.srtnationals.com

Hope this helps out. It would be pretty cool with the entire SRT family of cars being at one place! :headbang:

The 2006 SRT Nationals is well on its way to be the biggest and best ever. We are expecting a very large turnout with all SRT models represented. Don't let the little guys have all the fun. You don't want to miss this event. Whether you want to Road Race, Drag Race, Show off the car, or all three this weekend is the place to do it.

Just saw your post , Cindi, and I also listed info about the SRT Nationals . I guess if I had read down farther I would have seen this first , but glad to see a few of us are getting out the news on this big event. I look forward to meeting you and I am sure the T1 Naykid Racing Coupes will be a big hit with all the Viper faithful. By the time you and Scotty come to Topeka, I figure you will both have some National SCCA wins under your belts. I have about 2,000 miles on the track at Heartland Park, so if you want a few pointers let me know so you can whip up on Scotty right off the bat,ha.

Folks , check out the fun and festivities that will be available this July in Kansas at Heartland Park Raceway.

This event sounds like its going to be a lot of fun. Will be pretty cool to get the opportunity to meet all the fellow Viper owners and other SRT owners within the Dodge family. :headbang:

Sounds like our team might be going in early to the track for a couple of days of testing for our new SRT10 Coupes. For those in the area or even those who get their early, stop on by and say hello.

Lets get a good Viper showing :2tu:

Our Sponsor/Vendor list continues to grow. Check out all the latest updates at www.srtnationals.org

The SRT Engineers are excited about all the toys they will bring with them this year. Make sure you don't miss out on the opportunity to meet those who designed and built the awesome SRT Lineup. Last year they were some of, if not the fastest cars at the event. Maybe you can teach them how to really drive. Mark your calendar.

"All Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, and Jeep vehicles are encouraged to attend and participate in all of the activities."
If that is a question, then yes, it includes all DCX vehicles with the SRT Line being featured. In other words feel free to bring your RT-10, your ACR, your GTS, and even the SRT10 Ram. Heck you can drive a different one every day of the event, or one in each sub event the road course HPDE, the Drag Racing, the car show etc... :2tu:

You may even get the chance to try out the other SRT cars and trucks and decide to expand your SRT stable.

NayKid Racing one of the Guest VIP's at the Nationals this year has released more details about the team. Check out their press release and come see their new cars at the Nationals or any of there races near you.

Lux and White Returns to SCCA T1 with Major Partners in Place

Puyallup, Wash., February 24, 2006 –[/size]NayKid Racing debuted the Dodge Viper SRT10 in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Touring One (T1) class last season with great fanfare and success. The potential the program showed in 2005— including two divisional titles as well as the pole position, fastest race lap and two top-five finishes at the Runoffs Championship— was so impressive that all the major marketing and technical partners have returned for 2006.

Cindi Lux (Aloha, Ore.), NayKid Managing Director and driver, and team owner/ driver Scotty B. White (Puyallup, Wash.) were joined by key management from KUMHO Tires, Dodge Motorsports and DaimlerChrysler’s SRT Division to announce their commitment for a second season. As she did last year, Lux will campaign the No. 78 KUMHO Tires/ Dodge Motorsports/ SRT Viper while White will run the No. 3 KUMHO Tires/ Dodge Motorsports/ SRT Viper. Both will switch from the Roadster variant of the Viper they campaigned in ’05 to the newly introduced Viper Coupe in 2006.

“These new SRT10 Coupes are so ****…can I say that out loud? The lines on this new car are outstanding and it just draw’s people over like I have never seen before,” enthused Lux. We have done some primary testing with my car and its going to be an excellent hotrod on track. And the KUMHO’s just seem to keep getting faster and faster with every test session. The part that is really cool about this program is everybody’s solid commitment in bringing out the best…in both people and technology. Let’s get this year started so we can go have some fun!”

“We look forward to again partnering with the NayKid team in 2006,” remarked SRT and Dodge Motorsports Marketing Director Mike Accavitti. “Running Viper Roadsters in 2005, Scotty White finished a very close second in the National Runoffs, and Cindi Lux clinched the Divisional Championship and a top-five at the Runoffs. For 2006, the team will pilot the new Viper Coupes we introduced last fall. We look forward to a tough campaign against the long-standing champion. The original Viper Coupe was tested against the best on many of the world’s most well-known race tracks. Its battles against the Chevy’s are legendary. We are anxiously anticipating the renewal of this classic rivalry this year culminating in a race for the National Championship at Heartland Park in the fall.”

"KUMHO is excited to be involved again this season with NayKid Racing,” said KUMHO Motorsports Manager, Rudy Consolacion. “This is our tenth season partnering with NayKid Racing. They have been with KUMHO since our earliest involvement with the SCCA and NayKid's success has paralleled KUMHO's success over the years. NayKid took the risk early on of teaming-up with the unknown KUMHO brand and they have been instrumental in making KUMHO a household name in grassroots motorsports. After their 2005 Runoffs performance debuting the Dodge Vipers, the momentum will hopefully carry KUMHO to the top of the podium this year.”

White commented on his long relationship with KUMHO; “Holy Moly! KUMHO is back for our ninth season in T1 and our tenth year together overall. This year is looking good! That incredible V710 grip stuffed under our new SRT10 Viper Coupe hot rods with the technical support of the SRT Group and Dodge Motorsports returning for the 2006 season should make for a pretty potent combination to take a bite out of the top step of the podium!"

Also returning is Dodge Motorsports (www.Dodge.com). Dodge Motorsports, which joined NayKid Racing with the switched to the Viper SRT10 in 2005, is the entity responsible for all major auto racing endeavors of Dodge products including SCCA Club and World Challenge road racing, NASCAR, NHRA drag racing and short track racing efforts. Also returning for a second year is DaimlerChrysler’s SRT (Street and Racing Technology) Division. SRT (www.DriveSRT.com) creates some of the Chrysler Group’s boldest, most distinctive products by single-mindedly following its core vision: Deliver benchmark performance at the lowest price, and deliver it with absolute integrity and credibility.

Other returning partners include CORSA Performance. CORSA (www.CORSAPerf.com) is providing the exhaust system for both Vipers. Forgeline Wheels (www.Forgeline.com) brought their top-of-the-line wheel, specially developed for the Dodge Viper SRT10, to NayKid Racing in 2005. Coupled with the Viper platform, Moton Shocks (www.MotonSuspension.com) and KUMHO Tires, the combination gave NayKid Racing the best handling characteristics in the T1 class. Red Line Oil (www.RedlineOil.com) also returns after many seasons working with NayKid Racing. Bell Helmets, a leader in head protection for motorsports, motorcycling and bicycling, returns with NayKid Racing (www.BellHelmets.com). Nike Racing extended it agreement after a strong-relationship with Lux providing the best in team wear and driving shoes as well as access to Nike’s extensive sports/ fitness programs (www.Nike.com). These programs further strengthen NayKid Racing’s association with UPRacing.com (www.UPRacing.com), a leading online provider of safety equipment to racers.

The two drivers will again contend for titles in the Northern Pacific division, where Lux is defending champion, and the Southern Pacific Division, where White holds top honors, as well as the National title in their matching Dodge Viper SRT10s. Each car will carry a new livery to accentuate the aggressive and purposeful lines of America’s only V10-powered muscle car. The new cars will debut together at Thunderhill in California, March 17-19.

That sounds good. We are actually working on getting Kumho out as one of the sponsors. If they show you can ask them in person.

ViperBite we have the Gateway VCA listed for some additional recognition from the sponsors. Y2K5SRT if the Kansas City region is going to come out in any numbers make sure to let me know so we can get your region added to the list. You guys make sure everyone in your respective regions knows about the event. See you there. I'm staying at the Ramada as well.

This will be cool to have the Viper community represented well at this event.

As another option for a place to stay, check out the Capital Plaza. www.capitolplazahoteltopeka.com

A little more pricey but if some are making a mini-vacation out of it, this might be a nice/fun place to stay. ;) We are thinking about "splurging" and having the team stay there. :nana: Check it out.

We are proud to announce a new video trailer that we will soon have hosted on the Nationals website . CSCVidz, who will be producing the Nationals DVD this year, has put together a short trailer. This trailer will help us get those of you who are only stimulated visually, you know who you are, excited about the 2006 SRT Nationals.

So if you would like a sneek peek of a few of the great activities you can participate in during the Nationals, take a look at the trailer. This will show you just a fraction of the great things you can do at the Nationals, as well as just a quick peek at what is in store for this year's DVD. CSCVidz will soon be posting the details of their requirements for footage to be donated by anyone attending the event and who gets good video clips. They will use as much of this donated footage as possible using the best videos for the DVD.

Let us know what you think. A special thanks to fflores and CSCVidz for getting this done so quickly.

And now the next big news. ******* of Topeka has joined with the SRT Nationals as a sponsor. ******* will be providing a team of ******* Girls to help out during the event. The girls will run a ******* booth in the Vendor Midway. They will be passing out coupons and other promotional items. They may also be selling some of the ******* swag you see in every ******* restaurant.

The girls will also be roaming the event to pose with different cars and attendees for photo opportunities. While they move through the cars and trucks, they will be checking out all of the rides looking for their choices for the best of the best, more about that in a bit. The girls will also be presenting the trophies and awards for the various events and activities.

Thursday evening at 6:00 pm will be SRT Nationals/******* Night. ******* will have 35 parking spaces blocked off in front of the restaurant for the 35 top cars from the event, the best of the best as chosen by the ******* girls earlier in the day. I imagine the rest of the parking lot will be overflowing with other SRT's as well. ******* will be providing every registered Nationals participant with 10 free wings. You will also be able to use the coupons given out by the ******* Girls during the day. ******* is also working on some other freebies.

Look for directions and other announcements about ******* and their involvement in the event, as it gets closer. Now what color SRT goes best with ******* Orange.

James,

Well....I could take the easy way and just tell you what it means right here and now but that wouldn't be any fun, would it? ;)

It basically is a play on words but does have a special meaning to our team.

Got any guesses?

Or should we even go down this road? :D
