I'll bet money they raise the gas guzzler tax before it is all said and done as well. And probably by a lot. Unlike some, I don't see that as the death of cars like the Viper, the Vette, etc. But it won't surprise me if the automakers have to sell fewer of them to keep their CAFE numbers up, which means we'll be paying more for them.

35 mpg by 2020? I've got that beat already. The vehicle in the center gets up to 4x more miles put on it per year than the black vehicle to my right.

What it means is 2 cyl cars and 4 cyl trucks.Those that voted for this should be forced to drive and put their family in something that fuel efficient immediately.
