Hello guys I've been in here for awhile, reading, learning, learning, and reading. I've wanted a Viper since 1996. I've bouncing between the 2nd and 3rd gens. I currently own a 2010 Charger SRT with a Kenne Bell 2.8LC unit. I spend a lot of time over in LXforums. I'm sure you guys have heard about the new SRT products 392s and how the PCMs are locked and have not been cracked Yet, So there is no tuning for them. I don't know if it's a Fiat, Chrysler, or SRT thing. My question is since the new viper will be coming from this same line, do you all see this happening in the viper? Would Fiat, Chrysler, SRT drop a supercar that all you can do is intake and exhaust upgrades to??? I know there are a lot of pissed of 392 challenger charger 300 and jeep owners out there. I don't want to pay 50k for a untunable car.. Much less 100k... What are your thoughts.

I think this is the direction everyone is going and it's not the fault of the manufacturer. Tougher and tougher government regulations are what's driving this. The only thing you can hope for is an aftermarket tune by the manufacturer like with the GEN IV's. Personally i'm an OEM kinda guy so it never bothers me. I always think it's kind neat to see how much power they can come up with with all the regulations that are in place. Thats why i'm so fascinated by the GEN IV motor. 600 street legal HP and it's more fuel efficient then the GEN III motor. :)
