Mine is starting to corrode pretty good. I spoke with Todd at AC about chroming it but said that it is much better to polish and clear coat. The chrome effects fitment. Has anyone chromed with any luck? Who did it? Any recommended shops to polish and clear it?

I had mine repolished and bought a few more to chrome. I liked the chrome so that is what I've had on my 1996 for the past two years. If you would like to buy a spare to that is already chrome or polished let me know I have a few extra. When I found you couldn't buy em anymore I bought up a few when they popped up. Send an IM if interested.

Chrome is the best way to go for ease of cleaning and bling. You could also powder coat too.

I polished it myself and it looks very nice, but no clear coat, only clean it with metal polish afterwards.

I clear coat some other parts i polished and the shine is fewer.
