Found these 2 gems on eBay.

Both look like great cars, I'd lean towards the 97. But my question is, which is a more intelligent buy? And why? Also, I believe the value of these are going to hold but the fact that 96 was the first GTS, would this help it's value moreso than the 97?

I've decided this is what I'm going to get unless I find a 00 black/silver ACR at the same price.

Any input is appreciated.

I would go for the 97. My Black Silver ACR is for sale, what is the price range your looking at? BTW: there are only 33 of the 00 black/Silver ACR's left, one has in CA has been totaled.

I don't think you can lose with either the 96 or 97. In 96 they made 1163 and in 97 they made 965 BW. Only difference between the years, 96 had polished cast aluminum wheels, 97 had polished forged aluminum. Stripes on 97 do not pass through the license plate opening in the rear and they are narrower.

With those miles I would be surprised if either car goes below 60K.

Check Premier I think they have a 96 BW with 14xxx miles for around $54K. In fact they may have a couple. Their ads should be in the classifieds.

Good luck

Make sure the recall on the 96 has been done on the good side (not under the oil filter). Tyres on 96 and 97 with low miles might be stock and are not good anymore. That's an extra cost you may think as well...
Good luck.
