Hello all

After a recent inspection i noticed the hood is rubbing against the driver door. the area is very small and the location is at the top point of the hood. the hood hits the highest point on the door behind the mirror. I also noticed the gap between the hood and the facia is slighlty off as well. Can eh hood be slid forward slighlty to correct this issue? has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in Advance

The hood latches, hinges and stops are all adjustable. Unless it has been in an accident you probably do not want to adjust the position of the hinges where they attach on the hood. There is a latch assembly near the windshield cowl but under the hood on both sides that is a good place to start. You may want to get a service manual to guide you in the process, it is a wealth of knowledge.

thanks the car has never been in any accident but it seems the hood needs less than a 1/4 " of forward movement just on the drivers side..... could a
hinge be bent?

you can pull the hood forward but you should take off the front facia and shim it out to match gap!

Need pics of both the hood-to-bumper and hood-to-door areas. It's not common for the hood to touch the door. Also take a pic of the rearward door gap to make sure the door isn't the one needing adjustment.
