\'99 hardtop on a \'95

I know it has been asked before for almost any two combinations, but will a 1999 hardtop fit on a 1995? Thanks in advance for the help, you guys allways have great info and insite.

i think it can, but'll need some work

first off the pins that latch into the windshield frame are different lengths...also the latches in the back fasten differently. with a 99 you do not need to remove the sport pad like you do with a Gen 1.

i also think the gaskets are difffent because of the Gen 2's power windows..

I know Mitch aka SNKBT did this to his Gen 1, hopefully he'll chime in

The rubber weatherstrip is different, lines up a little short. The back mounts the same way, the front you have to change the pins to your particular Gen. style. Have had mine on there for 2 years now. Unless somebody asks, they don't know it's for a gen.2...
