Are there any published numbers on this? I'm curious what the real difference is. A 98 and a 01 are only slightly different, and it's really tough to justify for myself spending 10K-20K for ABS due to the model year. But then again, the way the traffic is here in Detroit, I don't want to be hurting if I get caught in rain either...

How about in the rain vs dry for both or 100-0 or whatever. Hard data is a plus

I think I just answered my question. Camaro SS 70-0 is 174ft. Viper RT/10 is 154ft. Car and Driver. If it's better than what I got, I'm all set.

Still would like your input though.

I recorded 60-0 in 110 and 112 ft in my '01 RT/10 (dry weather). That translates into 70-0 in 151 ft. The major advantage of ABS is, of course, panic stops nonoptimal traction situations, and needing to brake and steer simultaneously -- all of which are common in the real world.
