ACR at the Dragstrip

Took the ACR to the dragstrip this weekend. First time with this car at the track. Best of four runs was 11.40 @ 124.32. 60' time was 1.89. Was wondering how much faster trap speed would be and what the E.T would be with out the wing and the front splitter.:drive:

What was the weather (including density altitude) like? The best I've seen stock Gen 4s trap is in the upper 128s/lower 129s in perfect weather.

Altitude 121' above sea level. Not sure of the air density that day, but clear weather. Ran on PS-2s at 23psi. Not stock.

11.4 is a pretty awesome time for stock.... what mods do you have.... I see your last post "not stock".... I ran 11.9@124mph at Maple Grove earlier this year but could only get down to a 2.1ish 60' time...

I was banging the rev limiter in 3rd through the traps...

I have seen 3 to 4 mph increase without the wing.... I took it off directly from the rear hatch.....

Mods are: headers, hiflo cats, mopar computer, smooth tubes, and polished intake. Dynoed at 610 RWHP. Shifted into 4th near finish. Would staying in third gear improve the ET or MPH?

I picked up about 2 MPH without the wing.... ran 11 flat @ 132 MPH with no wing, made the same power 609 rwhp on a dynojet....

keep in 3rd I regularly trapped 128 and 129 bone stock after I figured out not to shift into 4th, should also help et

I am not sure what the weather plays into these cars with all the computer adjustments that the sensors make. I have tried to figure out the weather thing for years on my car and it seems so many other parts of the drag race come into play other than the weather. I had the weather station, software, but it never seemed to really make a difference. It was fun trying to figure it all out. In a Viper its all about good reaction time, better suspension to keep the wheels on the ground, the right drag radials with 16psi, proper shifting, and the right gears for 1/4 or 1/8 mile. Each shift takes almost .5 of a second. I ran 3:73 and 3:54 I loved the 3:73 but it required a additional shift to finish the 3:54 was the one I an using now currently. going into 4th prior to the finish by a 100' or so. I think the perfect 3 shift gear would be in the area between these two. My best time was 11.55 123mph in my 2004 No matter what you have blasting your Viper down the strip is addicting.
