I assume that by "airbox" you mean the heater box. This is easy to lower. There are two screws on the side facing the exhuast manifold. Once loosened, simply push the box down. I can;t remember or not if I had to remove the actual top part of the box or not. Anyhow, the box should push down far enough to clear the hood. You could put a small piece of clay on the box afterwards and see if indents against the hood.
