I wonder if these new 'dry' filters would be better replacement for my K&N filter system when it comes time to replace the filters (I never go through the clean & oil drill, I just replace). Any thoughts? I haven't measured the K&Ns but I wonder if there is a size that would work.

I do not know if they are or not. We at AtRo Racing Products have Green Filters that replace your filters that came with your K & N Filtercharger kit. Green Filters claim they outflow K & N. They sell for $199.95 per set of 2. VCA members get 5% off for a total of $189.95 including UPS charges. You can see them in the Accessories Section of our web site at http://www.members.aol.com/AtroRacingTeam/PRODUCTS/AtRoRacingsProductCatalog

I have to admit that I was wrong in 1 thing.

I always swore by KNN and always thought that performance filters were all the same.

When I went to the booth at SEMA for green filters, they had a test flow bench, and they had stock paper, KNN and green filters.

I was very impresssed and astonished at the increased flow provided by the Green fiters. They were the best by far.

Now, as far as filtration that is a different story.
