For the benfit of new owners....this is what was done to create a head space for my T&D roller rockers, so did others on this board and was discussed sometime ago.
Remove the valve covers and un-screw the oil baffle plates.
Shave the knobs off aprox. 1/4 of an inch, to give you the necessary clearance(the area the baffle plate rest on and screwed into the valve cover). We used a small rotary cutter to remove access material.
Clean the valve covers thoroughly with a solvent(i.e brake fluid cleaner). Use TightLock on screws, and fasten baffle plates back on.
Reuse gaskets, and torque the valve covers to specs 95in/lb!!, and check your manual for tightening pattern.
