another sunday at the track

Yesterday we were at Bruntingthorpe an old RAF base converted into a track,
there's a 2 mile straight but only a part of it was being used at this event.
Charity rides for the public, where speeds of up to 170mph was reached

In between 3 sessions for the cars, motor bikes were let loose. Apprantly the quickest cars around the circuit except for the vipers (of course) was the Lambo, Lotus 340R and GTR


Can you carefully park next to the multi-million pound jet please madam ?

Yep, a very good day.

Hopefully they will pay us next year to cut the grass and moive the tyre barriers, but using a Viper to do the job could be expensive!!!!!

Nice to see a Lightning in the background...got to drive one in an overseas location a number of years ago. Binbrook guys on deployment let me play with one...with an IP. Fun, quick...outta gas in about 3 minutes.

you could climb in and wiggle the joystick, didnt do it so a missed opportunity to climb in a fighter.

They did put the fastest car, a modded Skyline GTR against a jet (though not sure what it was) standing start down the straight, it ended in one win each but the GTR driver did a flyer on the second run after being pasted by the jet
on the first. The plane didnt take off
