O.K.
Here's the history:
1.) Original owner bought a 1998 Viper GTS on August 31, 1998. He DID NOT purchase any extended Warranty.
2.) I purchase this Viper from original owner in April 2001. It was still under the original 3yr/36,000.
3.) About a month later (still before 3 years from original purchase), I purchased the 'Maximum Care - 0 deductable' service contract from DC that was/is in effect from 08/31/2001 - 08/31/2005, or 60,000 miles (whichever comes first). Being I have 35K on the Viper, 08/31/2005 will come first. From my understanding, if I sell the car before the warranty expires, I can transfer this service contract. This can only be done one time, so the next owner would not be able to transfer the warranty if he sold the car.
Here's my questions:
1.) Is there ANY service contract 'I' can purchase from DC to go beyond 08/31/2005?
2.) If I sell the car before the warranty expires, is there any service plan the next owner can purchase?
3.) If both one and two are 'no', any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance, and I plan to call Chuck Tator as well. Before doing so, I would prefer hearing everyone's opinion/advice.
