well I have taken on the challenge to swap out plug wires, already did the plugs but now comes the daunting task of getting my hands to the back of the motor, I have already removed the wiper arms and the bottom of the windshield cover to get a little more room but should I pull anything else off???also do the wire holders come out and go back in or are they the ones that once they get pulled out you need to replace them?

From all the nightmare you are describing, it sounds like you have a gen III.
Need to remove the intake manifold for the easiest access to the coil packs.
All that wiper and cowl stuff can stay on the car.

The gen IV wires are a lot easier. They are short leads that connect each coil to the plug right below it.
Gen III kinda ***** for plug wires. Unless you are that stretch guy from the Fantastic-4, I don't see how it is humanly possible to change the wires by attacking it from the rear under the intake.

The wire retainers are re-usable if you are careful and don't damage them.
