Typical fuel injector pictured below just like ours. How the heck do I get the connector off past the 2 nubs on the side. As usual, there must be some type of "secret" locking mechinism that I can't find and as usual, service manual is no help.

Perhaps I am missing something, or Gen II might be different; but, since no one else spoke up, here's my 2 cents.

On my Gen II, I just wiggle the connector left & right while pulling it away from the injector, and it comes apart without any special tools or other tricks. The portion that the connector mates to looks the same as your pictured injector.
