Back to Buy after a long wait

8 years ago (imagine that) I joined this forum to start my pursuit to purchase a Viper. Unfortunately, kids college got in the way. Well that is behind me and am seriously looking to buy a 2001/2002 Viper.

Back then there was thread (maybe a sticky) that had "Tips on Buying a Viper" by Jay Herbert. I printed and still have a copy. Is there an updated version?

If someone could answer a couple of specific questions:

- What are the differences between 2001 and 2002?

- What are the things that likely wear out or break. (other than tires)

Get Maurice's book "Viper Buyers Guide." It's a great read. I don't think there are any differences between the two years except for color. 2001 was the first year for ABS brakes Some have also mentioned that the '01s have a water pump issue.
