Back up camera question.

I have installed one similar to that one, it may have the auto dimming that will be a bonus and you may loose the interior lights but its good have, you need a reverse power which is hard to access its underneath the car in the tranny harness , but can be access at rear tail light but ill look sloppy.

I have installed a few back up cameras. For the money involved with the mopar piece, you might be better off going with a new head unit and a camera like this:

Unless you already have the navigation unit in your car. Wiretech is right that the hard part is finding a good reverse power wire to tap into. Good luck with the camera. I have a camera on my truck and I couldn't imagine life without it now. I plan on doing a new stereo and back up camera later this year in the viper. Here is the stereo I am going to go with:

Picking up an 2008 blk silver stripe with the RB1 radio. i really didn't want to change radios, just wanted to add a back up camera, and maybe bluetooth. i remember how it was with my 2000. i am able to get all oem parts at 5 over.

Here is a photo of my camera integrated into the plate lights with excellent viewing area but its custom made with no holes to drill.
