Left a lot of my stuff with ex-girlfriend in Arizona....don't ask.....what do I need to take the battery cover off....I kind of glanced at it and decided ask rather than track it down myself.;)

Remove tire inflater kit on left side, peel back floor covering from left to right, use T27 Torx bit on the 5 fasteners...which are about an inch long. Since they are often corroded, you may have to break them loose with a large ratchet...then put Torx bit into electric drill and finish removing fasteners. You might put some anti seize on the fasteners before replacing them...or...buy a better a better system from Doug Shelby Engineering: http://dougshelbyengineering.com/Viper.html

I just changed a battery on a friend's Gen IV ACR...and, ran into really tough fasteners. Doug's system solves this...it's especially useful in an emergency.
