Bradenton Fl dragstrip

I was at the Bradenton dragstrip this weekend with my AMG E55. I couldn't take my SRT 03 because the stupid flickering lights are still a problem. Also I was worried about "THE BOG" ----not fixed yet either.
There were about 6 Vipers, including Larry M from Orlando. They ran 10's and 11's all night long.
My E55 ran 12.4 and 12.5 at 110 and 109. The temperature was approximately 78 degrees and the car only has 1200 miles on it. The zero to 60 time was 1.8
This car is one awsome ride. On a cool day with more miles I think I could get down to about 12.2 to 12.3

Um, 0-60 in 1.8 would make it the fastest car on the planet. A 1.8 60 foot time is INCREDIBLE!! The best I can manage with my SRT on stock tires is 1.9.

Who was the other person with you? Your Dad? Your black AMG E55 put down some impressive times while the track was good early in the evening.

I just found my 2nd fastest run time slip for my E55.
0-60 was exactly 1.837
330 ft time was 5.274
That was the 12.5 run

the E55 is an incredible car..... I've seen reports of 115MPH trap speeds......

that 1.8 60 foot time is great! did you leave the traction control on?

The AMG E55, like the other AMG's is best raced from a standstill or roll, with the traction control on. You get minimal wheel spin. MB has the system down perfect for launches. With the traction control off, all you do is go sideways.
And, by the way, anyone who thought my 1.8 0-60 ft time meant 0-60mph obviously does not race at the strip too often!!!
