I'm in the process of fitting a Paxton to my 1996 RT/10. The car has already got a slightly raised compression ratio (9.7:1) and a 708 cam.

I'm needing a more appropriate cam given the requirements of the engine, presumably something with a long duration.

Which cam will work well for me? I've been advised the standard 'Comp Coupe' one is good but also something more specific to my application. Any advice welcome!

The 708 is a great all-around canshaft and the Comp Coupe cam is a mirror image of it, if memory serves. The problem you are dealing with is the Gen I heads. The flow horribly. Get them off and send them to Greg Good in Houston, TX

I've had head work done by Valaya Racing, hence the slightly elevated compression ratio. Sorry, I should have mentioned that.

A cam with a little longer exhaust duration and less overlap works well with Superchargers.
