After reading about 100 previous posts on removal of the catalytic converters, I yanked mine out today. Good thing I did, as the insulation was toast around the cats. Went to Pep Boys and bought a pair of 2 1/2 " straight pipes, cut out the cats and clamped em in. Went for a short ride and..... no regrets. It is a touch louder but not unbearable. So far, no check engine light. Tough to tell with the cold air temps, but it feels a bit stronger as well. Thanks to all those that have provided info.

If you end up getting cat codes, we can set you up with an SCT-Flash tool that will turn off the O2 monitors, as well as make any other changes to the operating system you would like.
