Cheap Parts....

Does any one know where I can buy cheap parts from in the UK or USA for my Viper RT/10 '94. I am after part numbers - 4897970AA and 6033047. This is the exhaust hanger update and bolts that Andy Levvit did a receipe for - only the UK based Chrysler dealers want £160 each ($232 EACH) for the hangers! Andy says they should be under $50!

I have tried numerous car part sites but they only seem to have mainstream parts - rather than an "upgrade". Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Taz.

I don't know of the parts rack ships internationally, but he might give it a try.

But... I don't think you need that update. It only applies to 92, and early 93 vipers, not your 94. I guess it's possible that UK vipers are different though. Tell us more about the problem you are trying to solve.

Hi Andy,
Im trying to get rid of the annoying squeeking noise I get when the exhaust gets hot. The symptoms you wrote about in your "recepie" are identical to the problem I am having. It really ****** me off!! I took the side sills off and found I do have spring mounted exhaust hangers so I guessed the hanger update you talk about would do the job - or were at last worth a try for the small (or so I thought) investment

what do you reckon?

Hanger part# 4897970AA is indeed $192 at FULL list/retail,but is $142 through my friendly Jeep part guy.
So 20% off is good

PartsRack has those in Portland, and could ship tomorrow at "jeep-guy" prices. We have customers worldwide....I even send oils to Saudi Arabia! Go figure.

Andy is correct that back in 1994 these were about $50.

Dodge Viper parts can be better than the stock market IF you have hoarded them

I LOVE IT !!!!!!!

It is the perfect example of Free Market Economy at work.
Competition driving the price down.
We went from $192 + shipping (at least $50) to $140 INCLUDING shipping.

That is over a 40% or $100 price reduction.

Now can we do that for ALL Viper's parts and start a bidding section on this board ?

Tazuk, you are a lucky Guy, you went from a price (UK) of $232 to $140.

The kit probably will make a difference for your car. I didn't think that they had springs on any '94s though. Are you sure your car is a '94? Maybe european cars are different.

I think I remember paying under $40 or so for the update kit

Thanks a lot all. I love the "dutch auction"!! Any more bidders before I close the bidding? Going once, going twice, GONE!

HOWEVER -If anyone wants to sell them to me at 1994 prices I would REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!! (Somehow I dont think that will happen)

I guess you PArts people (e.g. PartsRack) are making a racket! Is that where the 2nd part of the name comes from?!!
