I've tried putting the 3M stuff on before. I would NOT recommend you DYI. This is extremely difficult to get smooth. Unless you have extensive window tinting experience you should just get an installer to do it. It won't be cheap but you'll get much better results.

You have to stretch and pull it to go around curved surfaces. The Viper front end has compound curves which makes it even tougher. I think they have recommended install times for every car out there and Vipers are among the highest.

I had the 3-M clear coat applied. Overall I am very pleased with the appearence and protective effect. However, I would not recommend a do it yourself approach. It really needs to be applied by someone with experience in its application. Its worth the extra money to assure the best cosmetic result.

I have 3-M on all my cars (some as long as 5 years) love it .DONT do it yourself get a good installer.A bad job is like turning a good paint job into a really bad one.
