Hello,
I have again tried to understand the coolant level check procedure for my 2004 Viper SRT10, but I still have some questions:
The service manual says, that with the engine COLD, the coolant level in the coolant pressure bottle should be in the COLD FILL RANGE (see attached pic). Then I understand that it can be between the upper and lower line, right? Is it better to add coolant up to the lower or the upper line? I ask, because the service manual also says that with the engine warmed up, the coolant level should be above the cold fill range, but how much above?
The coolant level in my car when cold was around 0.5" BELOW the lower cold fill range line. Is this normal? What is your COLD coolant level?
Thank you and best regards from Valencia, Spain.
