My battery is dead after trying several times to turn it over. Once the car had enough juice, it wouldn't catch, so I held the gas pedal down thinking it was flooded (from trying to repeatedly start it). The car would catch with the gas pedal down, but then I had to throttle it some (or hold the throttle down a little) to keep the car from stalling.

Is this normal becuase the computer has to readjust itself? After holding down the gas a little for about 5 min., the car started to run fine, and eventaully did. However, I'm running into the same issue again (yes, I know I need a new battery but had to move my car the first time around because I was moving out of my house), but wanted to make sure this was all perfectly normal?

Thanks in advance,

Mine was the same after a dead battery. The computer just needs to recal.

It wasn't so much "learning" as it was charging the battery. With a bad/weak battery these cars run bad and will have all kinds of running/stalling issues. Run don't walk to the store for a new battery.
