Decide for me...Which do I keep? \'93, \'04 or both

OK this seems petty, but; I leased my '04 through my business and really thought I would get tired of it after three years, as I do with most of my cars.

In April '07 when the lease is up, I planned on turning in the '04 no questions asked and if things go as planned, I wanted to get a Ford GT...

Heres the problem, I really like my current cars. I don't have enough garage space though and need to decide which to keep. Do I keep my current vehicles and ditch the Ford GT thought. Or ditch the '04 and wait for the '08 Viper (unknown ground).

Anyones thoughts appreciated.

Right now I have an '86 Ferrari 328 (pristine driver), '93 RT/10 & '04 SRT10. My daily is a '07 Rubicon (will sit outside in the summer).

3 Car garage but 2 cars worth of storage at my office... Well my wife has her thoughts, but honestly, I'd rather hear yours.

I would wait for the 08 Viper! :2tu: What is a Rubicon?

It's a Jeep; The new unlimited Rubicon 4 door. Actually It's a blast, reminds me of the CJ7 in the '80's. I'm putting a plow on it to do the drive, some 35's to go off roading.

Crap, I actually found myself grabbing it on a sunny day instead of a two seater.

If there is enough ceiling space, add one or more lifts?

The '93 is a truly iconic automobile. You can't really call yourself a TRUE Viper owner unless you've owned a Gen1. If your hood is in good shape, I'd keep it.

If you want a FGT, get it know as they have stopped production. The FGT will probably become harder to get at a reasonable price (seen a around MSRP).

I to have a Jeep Rubicon and love it. I would shy away from the Ford GT as there are way to many recalls on it. Alos they are way over priced with all the price gouging going on. I would wait for an 2008 or buy a new coupe.

Re: Decide for me...Which do I keep? \'93, \'04 or both

get a lift 1st so you never have to worry about space again

keep the 93

drop the 04 while the lift is being installed

get the ford GT ASAP before the stock market helps the econ recover further; you will be paying 2x as much for it in 09

buy an 08 late 08 so you don't pay over msrp

you will have the 93, 08, and FGT with a lift for space and quick maintenance items

a true Dream garage :2tu:

Surprised to see nobody asked about the miles on the cars....

It is hard to give you an answer without all the facts. While true the 93 is classic, do not underestimate the 04.

As far as the GT, I think that you are going to see its performance eclipsed very soon by both the Viper and Vette. It will have the body style, but will play second fiddle to both of them. Prices will come down on them.

Re: Decide for me...Which do I keep? \'93, \'04 or both

Thanks so far for the responses... Sorry this will be long...

I thought about the garage lift, but mine are only 9 foot. If it would work, I'd consider it, but I'm afraid that would get old.

I can buy my '04 out of lease for $51k in April, it's cheap enough to consider buying with only 11,000 miles and this is the catalyst for my question.

I love cars and I forgot to mention that I also have a Suburban, Tricked out Ford Ranger (that I'm giving to my father), my wife has an Audi A4 Cab and I have two bikes ('98 Harley & '59 BMW R69) an ATV & Boat.

I want to clean house but I'm incapable of deciding what to get rid of... I love the old Ferrari & have owned the 93 Viper for 7 years now. I work to much to enjoy them all. So I decided, the bikes will have to go... Then I thought I would get the Jeep with a plow to get rid of my 98 Pickup and ATV(with a plow on it).

I really wanted a Ford GT and with my Viper lease coming up in April I thought it would be a no brainer. Heres the problem. I could sell the '93 with 14,000 miles and throw a couple grand at the '04 to buy it out... I could sell the Ferrari and '93 Viper and keep the '04 Viper and get the Ford GT.

So the question should be...

A). Buyout the '04 Viper and leave things as they are...
B). Keep the '93 Viper and '86 Ferrari and get a Ford GT
C). Keep the '93 Viper and '86 Ferrari and get an '08 Viper
D). Get Rid of the '93 Viper & '86 328GTS? Keep the '04 Viper & get a Ford GT.
E). Suggestions very welcome!!!

It's not really so much a performance thing as much as I love all cars and have a hard time letting go. :(

The '93 RT/10 has 14,000.
The '86 328GTS has 29,000 miles
The '04 SRT/10 has 11,000 miles

Option "D". Having an 04 Viper and the FGT gives you the best of everything!

Option A. Wait about a year, then option D as the FGT will be cheaper IMHO.

Get the lift, I have a 9' ceiling and can stack a Gen I and Gen III no problem

Whatever cars you end up with (out of the ones you list) the lift will be useful. As for it getting 'old', well, it's not too bad and if you don't drive the cars all that often you can spend a couple of extra minutes getting them out of the garage.

I would pick option D from your list. Or, buy the GT and keep either Viper. I like the look of the 328GTS but I am guessing the driving experiencing is not that exciting compared to either Viper. You really want to keep the cars you think will make you want to drive them the most. No reason keeping cars that you no longer drive.

Hold off for the '08, and I agree with someone before. If you can even ask this question, keep all and add garage space.

Then again, keep all, get the GT and the '08.

I agree with getting a lift and if you still dont have enough room with the lift, cut the ceiling out. Another member did it and it looked good
