If you ever wanted to enjoy a great weekend of racing and good times with other Viper owners...this is the time.

Have a modded Viper and you think you can rip off a good 1/4 time?....bring it to Bradenton.

Never drag raced your Viper and want too? BRING IT! This is one of the best prepared tracks around. That equates to low ET's and safe running of these powerful cars.

Talk with the best Viper tuners/(drag racing)drivers...they will be there.

and the best of the best ( taking cover with that comment...haha) will be there as well....Chad Williams record holding 8 second Viper. (as seen in Hot Rod Magazine this summer)

This Heffner Performance build beast will be shooting for a 7 second run. Some other great tuner/drivers will be trying to beat him to it. You won't know unless you go. :2tu:

Tody, take your own advise, bring that GTS to Bradenton and run it in the 12 or 12.5 class. You will have a ball and will also get a shot at the former go kart kings.

Info about the race from Jason Heffner...

By the looks of things most of you are anxious to go racing at what is always the fastest event of the year, the December Bradenton race.

The event will take place as follows:

Friday December 9th: Dyno day / open house at Heffner Performance in Sarasota Florida. Open house / dyno contest starts at 9:00 a.m.. We will be dynoing cars on a first come / first served basis and will be wrapping things up at around 5:00 p.m.. Awards will be given to the most powerful cars in the following four classes: Naturally aspirated, Supercharged, Nitrous and Turbo. Rates are $50.00 per car which includes air / fuel monitoring and printouts. Everyone is welcome and we will look forward to seeing all of you.

Saturday December 10th: Gates open at 9:00 a.m., track goes hot at 10:00 a.m.. All cars will be permitted to make time runs throughout the morning and between rounds of qualifying and eliminations of the radial tire race. First round of qualifying for the radial tire race will be at 11:00 a.m., second round of qualifying will be at 11:45. The radial tire event will be a quick 8 field and cars will be paired up with their next closest qualifier. First round of elimination will begin at 12:30 p.m.. Second round of elimination will begin at 1:15 p.m. and the final round of elimination will begin at 2:00 p.m.. Awards will be given to the winner and runner up in the radial tire event. Following the radial tire event we will be permitted to make time runs until 3:00 p.m..

Sunday December 11th: Gates open at 9:00 a.m., track goes hot at 10:00 a.m.. All cars will be permitted to make time runs throughout the morning and between rounds of qualifying and eliminations. First round of qualifying for all classes begins at 11:00 a.m., second round of qualifying for all classes begins at 12:00 p.m.. Qualifiers in each class will be paired using a standard N.H.R.A. ladder. At 12:45 p.m. all cars must report to the staging lanes to be paired for first round of elimination. All cars will be called back to the lanes at 2:15 p.m. to be paired for second round of elimination. All cars will be called back to the staging lanes at 3:30 p.m. for the third round of elimination. If there are enough cars to necessitate a fourth round of eliminations cars will be called back to the lanes at 4:15 p.m.. The awards ceremony for all classes will begin at 4:30 p.m.. Time runs will be allowed until 5:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that there is some flexibility in the time lines and if time permits we will make an effort to give racers as much time as possible to cool down and / or make repairs.

10.50 and slower. Any tire permitted. Synchronized T-56 transmission and independent rear suspension required.

The dash of the yellow car is a prime example of taking a good idea too far and winding up worse off than when you started.

To each his own. I like it. It matches the "over the top" mod list on the car.

Are you bringing that TT of yours to Florida?

I am sure the owner of the yellow rt/10 you commented about would love to wax your tail as he passes you down the 1/4 mile. :2tu:

here is a pic of his engine.

[/QUOTE]

You mean like he waxed all those people at Norwalk? I should add that there is no shame in breaking; when you start playing around with 1,000+ hp/tq it's a matter of when, not if. I shredded my tranny within 50 miles of adding the turbos, and I doubt that will be the last thing to break. So props to him for going and trying to run.

On the other hand, it's quite lame to call someone out to race someone else's car. (And please, don't come back with "you dissed his dash" or something similarly silly. It's his dash, not yours, and I'm sure he could not care less what I think about his dash, just as I could not care less what he or you think about my chrome alternator, etc.) How about I meet you in Bowling Green and see how your car stacks up?

To my E55. :D

I think you missed my point.

I did think your comment was a bit classless but come on now...I in NO WAY was calling you out with his car over it.

I used the comment as more of an friendly invite to bring that TT of yours to FL.

And to you your offer to race...sorry I gave up drag racing years ago.

But...since you have the urge...come to Florida and race with others who do race down the 1/4. :D :2tu:

Very nice... Yellow or not, it's a far sight better looking than the original color. There are a lot of things I don't like about a lot of things, but I keep those things to myself.

How did it do?

If you are asking about the SVSI car above...its into the 8's and shooting for the 7's. :headbang:

Another powerful 9 second (maybe faster) Viper that will be in Florida...

Thanks for the great PICs, Toby! Is there any way I can purchase them on disk?

Is he injecting nitrous direct port and in the intake tubes? Never saw that before. It looks like water/**** injection also.

Yes he has water/****. The nitrous is direct port but he has not made a run with it yet. Just low boost runs till he learns the car.
