Just installed a new differential cover to my new pumpkin and noticed there is a hole in the top of the cover. I realize this is for some sort of screw in vent, but was wondering if it would be ok to simply plug it with a bolt (since I do not have the vent screw) so I can proceed with the install. Basically, is this differential vent necessary. Thanxs for your help.
