That's awesome. It must feel incredible to ride in a 9 sec. Viper. BTW what was in the left lane?

Re: Don\'t go to the Viper World Championship without one of these.

Thanks for the compliments all. Or should I say "Y'all". I was just trying to start a little something with my unlimited buddies. They know who they are!

That run was 6 days after I picked my car up from TNT. It's your basic Texas heads-cam-gas car. TNT also installed and set up their adjustable front shocks. The sway bar went bye-bye. In the back I had a set of Purners wheels with ET streets and the stock 3.07 gear. RWHP was around 725. RWTQ was in the 900 range.

Jason Middle - Did you ever hear the story about the burned clutch and the Dr. Pepper? Nuff said.

Daaayum Steve -- it's going to be fun in Unlimited! That's an insane launch for a stock-driveline car with just front shocks and no swaybar. I hope they prep Beech Bend as well as the track you were on.

Steve that was one hell of a run we had. It's not very often I get my a$$ drug down the track, but it was still fun.

Jason, we were down on power with a last minute cam swap. (very bad move) We lost 50 RWHP on motor and the cam didn't like the gas. Then we blew the clutch out and poured Dr Pepper on it to stay in the game. It was good enough for a 10.12 pass. With all the problems, I think we did great. Steve & I will have a rematch, we both will have fresh cars at VOI.

I'm not sure which I would put my money on. Both are hell bent drivers!!

I'm sure AC will be back into the 9's by VOI right Albert?

If the Viper is like other cars it allows the front to rise more....weight transfer.

That's what it is supposed to do. I haven't noticed it missing much on the street. The guys at TNT said I might see increased tire wear around the inside. I'm not sure. I have the skinnies on most of the time.

Heh. With skinnies you won't notice the missing front swaybar. With OEM tires, however, you WILL notice that the back end wants to come around every time you go hard into a corner. It's a very unsettling feeling -- much worse than the standard Viper twitchiness.

Albert the numbers are great but Steve's 60ft and 1/8 is better et wise that means more suspension work should be looked at since you make more power at the 1/8 and 1/4. Great work, keep it coming it only helps all viper owners when making performance choices.

Re: Don\'t go to the Viper World Championship without one of these.

Ron -- I bet a dinner at VOI that Albert was sandbagging the launch a bit on that run. He's previously hit (at least) low 1.5s 60's, which would put his run into the 9.6-9.7 range

I'm sure we'll see him in full force at the VOI7 drags

It was definitely an impressive pass....glad we waited to see the last run.

Looks like Unlimited will be a little more interesting now.

Good job Albert...glad to see your efforts paying off.

We normally run between 1.47 to 1.51, but it rained before the track opened, and the clutch was acting silly. Hope to get some more out of it.

Albert -

Extremely impressive! Glad to see that kind of MPH -- That's horsepower!

I know the clutch demons never fail to haunt us.
Great driving & looking forward to seeing you at VOI.

Regards,
Doug

Re: Don\'t go to the Viper World Championship without one of these.

I dont have any pics of the new set up, but If anyone is interested we will show the car at the Voi drags. Not much really to see, looks like a stock car on N20, but the install is top notch. We will also like to talk with anyone about the NX system, we will have several if anyone is interested.
