I've wondered the same thing. Other normally aspirated cars that have been equipped with Superchargers/turbochargers have not necessarily been that reliable on road courses due to the high rpm compression loading, continuous high heat, and potential detonation. The effective compression ratio can be frightening without using lower compression pistons.

I'd be interested in reports of road course performance as well.

I'd think you'd want to pull the blower belt for road racing duty. Without lower compression forged pistons I think you'd be pushing your luck with engine longevity.

?????? Dan I thought the Viper racing league was going to try leveling the playing field with similiar, dyno tested, then sealing the stock engines. This way driver talent and other creative unknown enhancements are the only things separating the driver skills. Or is this a car to be used in the Challenge series?
